Onboarding
Through the simple, smooth and visually appealing onboarding help, the user learns which functions are available and how the guide works. The help also encourages users to use services in the museum on site and provides further relevant information about their visit to the museum.
Low barrier to use
A simple system allows the MAK Guide to be expanded at any time. Low-threshold access is ensured by progressive web app technology (platform-independent) and a simple interface. The audio player of the MAK Guide can be operated with just a few interactions, and orientation in the museum is provided by an audio guidance system.

As a museum of applied arts, we place special demands on the design solutions for our digital offerings. With Huangart and LWZ, the MAK was able to develop a user-friendly and aesthetically high-quality museum guide for our visitors. The high-quality product is the result of an exciting, co-creative process and the joyful and uncomplicated collaboration with the designers and programmers.
The MAK Guide creates an auditory link to the museum’s offerings, which can be experienced both on site and from home. Low-threshold access is guaranteed by the progressive web app technology (platform-independent) and a simple user interface. One of the main focuses of the development was to ensure that the auditory level of the MAK Guide can be experienced with as little interaction as possible and guides visitors through the museum using an audio guidance system.
