CCA Shortlist in Websites, Microsites
This inventory had its origins in a survey of the “Lustenau Industrial Building Inventory” in 2019. The aim of the project at that time was to document the relevant “industrial” buildings in Lustenau that still existed (primarily) in relation to machine embroidery.

Horizontal scroll narrative
The website consists of 3 narrative forms, one of which is the horizontal scroll view. This narrative form is particularly suitable for telling the story. Instead of scrolling down the website as usual, you scroll from left to right like in a timeline. The varied layout makes scrolling through the chapters feel smooth and natural.
The sensitivity for the presentation of the content, the appealing design and a refined but logical user guidance make our Bauerbe website an exciting archive that invites you to research and discover. We are happy to refer to it and the great feedback from users speaks for itself.
Lustenau embroidery houses – an inventory
Among these more than 400 objects that still exist to date are many so-called “embroiderer’s houses” from Lustenau’s Wilhelminian period. From February 20 to April 18, 2021, the recorded buildings were presented in an exhibition entitled “Bauerbe Lustenauer Stickerhäuser – Eine Bestandsaufnahme” at DOCK 20 – art space and collection Hollenstein. The documentary website was published in 2022 as an extension to this.
Index view
The index view provides a clear overview and makes it easy to search through the sticker houses. This gives you a good overview of the large size of the collection. Extensive filtering enables a wide range of search options.
Map view and mobile nearby mode
The third display option for the sticker houses is a map view on which the houses are located. The combination of satellite view and photography in particular provides a beautiful representation. Google Maps was used as the map engine. The 3D tilt gives you a more realistic form of map display and jumps directly into the streets of Lustenau.
